Beinn Mhor, Cam Sgriob, grousebeat, back by top Glenbeg road and twice up the steep little bit by the road.

All ok really. Thought it might be a trudge after the last couple of days but everything felt fine really. Left quad was pretty quiet, foot only a little sore. 90gr/hr for the second 2 hours, H5 drink plus dates and mango.

Top Glenbeg road, bothy and viewpoint after a morning browsing training logs and realising how much more climbing I did in The Good Old Days.

Left hip kinda funky early on, left groin/quad funny throughout, left foot occasionally a bit sore. . .but on the whole fine. 6 hill strides on the road at the end also fine.

Similar to last week, long easy with 3 bits of 12' a bit quicker. Up, down and windy, not really paying attention to the pace.

Felt a bit hungry ~40' in but energy levels were never a problem. Still a bit stiff this morning, getting pretty tired and a little sore towards the end of the run. Will put the s&c back to tomorrow, hope to crawl through the next two days and have a slightly easier week next week.

Past the railway line, viewpoint, through to the end of the river path, back through Anagach. Unremarkable, little bit tired. 6 hill strides at the end, thought I'd take them very easy then didn't.

Slightly stiff legged shuffle round the woods. Mix of blissfully dry trails and icy remains, tip-toeing around the side in the heather. Still not sure about these shoes.

Pretty sore getting off the sofa, swung my legs around in a halfhearted manner then got out into the gathering gloom. Over to the railway, zig-zags, bothy, glenbeg on some slushy shite and some dry trails. Skipped the hill strides because it had started to rain, turning to slush then snow. Took the road all the way out of Glenbeg to avoid slithering around, things got a bit brisk towards the end as my hands froze into claws and my skin turned bright red. Legs felt good though.

Tuesday Feb 16, 2021 #

Same session as last week, same not quite fresh feeling. 3/4 tights and no jacket for the hill reps. Spring has fucking sprung.

Trending slower through the first 4 reps, 2:16-2:24, then got into a bit of a groove and had 4 2:23s and a 2:19 to finish, slumped on the grit bin feeling slightly queasy. Wind swirling around, who knows if that made any difference.

Everything on the left side taking it in turns to be grizzly on the warm up and first couple of reps. Glutes, hamstring, calves, foot. I noticed the glutes being creaky on Sunday's run, will try to give them some resistance band love. All eased off though and seemed fine later in the session.
