Plod around Anagach after the whoooole day plonked in front of Ronde. Creaky heading out but loosened off quickly and felt fine just shuffling along the trails.

6 hill strides just as the wind picked up and the rain came on. Joyous.

Beinn Fhada, A' Ghlas Bheinn, Falls of Glomach.
Elapsed time 4:53, moving time 3:57. I've gone for something in the middle to try and account for the ample time spent staring at the views/chatting to people, but not the time I spent slogging uphill so slowly the watch thought I'd stopped.

Stunner of a day. Wall to wall sunshine, light breeze, hills essentially snow free. Horrid slog up to Beinn Bhuidhe, scraping my shins to bits in the heather, then hurly-burly ridge fun all the way along. As much time off trails as on them today, so slow going. Working respectably hard on the climbs, some glute burn going on on top of the tiredness from last night's gym work. Could've done with more food but happy enough to just cruise along in the sunshine. Met a dog called Graham.

Trying to get back to the routine of running early on easy days. Pre-breakfast trot round Anagach and the river track. Legs a little tired but feeling alright. 8 speed variations, left hip maybe getting a little tired towards the end of the run.

Warm up to the river, a few surges. Cool down continuing on to the top of Geal Charn Beag then back, getting a little waylaid and doing some bonus heather bashing.

HHR Firstday.
From the gate off Wade's military road up towards Geal Charn Mor. Rough track and a couple of flats and downs or I'd have had a Dougie Macdonald-adjusted world record. Felt decent, as I bloody well should after 3 very easy days, but didn't push too hard, just grinded (ground?) away, tried a little harder on the final flat-down-up. Too much watch watching makes the time drag.

A gel before the start after the 50 ride there and warm up.

Another funny night. A bit weary all day and by the time I went out my jaw and teeth were really sore. So just a short plod then some stretching. Will get jacked up on painkillers and do something more meaningful tomorrow.

Cruddy night's sleep, lots of lying around feeling uncomfortable, so put back anything more purposeful than pottering around til tomorrow.

Cranky start but eased up relatively nicely. Tiredness still there but legs moving ok. Did 6 hill sprints on the really steep bit of trail I've had my eye on for ages. They improved as I learned where the slippiest bits were, not a waste of time.

Round Anagach. Legs still a bit sore thanks to yesterday's bike ride. Still, nice to trudge around some of the smaller trails and marginally tender quads, and a right mid low back that was knotty as soon as I got up, no niggles.

6 hill strides felt decent.

2x rb circuit, 2x 10 pull-ups, 3x 20 calf raises, Myrtl.
