Ski carpark, windy ridge, Raibert, Avon slabs, Carn Etchechan, allt a' choire mhoir, braericach, steep in and out of Lairig Ghru to Lurcher's, Fiacaill, 1141, down.

Looking for rough ground, found it. Only time I was mildly frustrated was when things got a bit leg breaky punching through the soft snow first time down to the LG, which I think means I was eating enough. Hamstrings feeling yesterday's efforts and a little tired overall but nothing felt sore. The final hour was probably the best of the whole run, hiking well up to Fiacaill Ridge and cruising back down to the carpark feeling not more tired than I had at the start. Which is nice.

Calories uncertain due to an unaudited peanut butter sandwich, but I think heaps. 2 bottles, 6 gels, a flapjack, a Racer bar, the aforementioned sandwich and some salt tablets. A decent weekend.

A FUCKING RACE! Beinn Tharsuinn, a Russell McKechnie special. Me, Dan, Andrew and Jack (plus dog) at the front heading up the quarry access road, pretty four abreast, before Dan started pulling away. Various lines past the quarry, all crud, I was tucked in behind Andrew on the way up through the heather, Dan dangling off the front. Took the bold decision to stay left on the final descent. A race winner or a total balls-up. . .neither, it made precisely fuck all difference. Hit the track 36" behind Dan, a little less behind Andrew. Reeled Andrew in, closed the gap to Dan a little but not enough, 22" in the end. Felt well out of my element running 3'20" down the road.

No particular skip in my step after yesterday but not overly tired and no niggles.

From the ski carpark with Ian and Reiff. Fiacaill, down Domhain, up to Etchachan, Beinn Mheadhoin, saddle, Ptarmigan, windy ridge.

All nice and social. Did 100gr/hr between 0:40 and 2:40. No niggles, though still a bit stiff from Wednesday's s&c I think.

Tour of the Corries+ before work. Easy 30' to the carpark, 26.30 ish between moderate and threshold effort up to the shoulder of Lochain, then pretty cruisey from there. Continued on past Cairngorm and things got heathery and tedious towards the end but I've no one to blame but myself.

Had 3 slices of rice cake in the space of 40ish minutes after the harder bit. Left calf a little creaky early on but disappeared soon after.
