Könizberg, Ulmizberg, Gurten rallying with Marion. Hadn't used my mountain bike in a looong time so my technique was pretty bad. No chance to follow M except when she got stuck in the same muddy part twice (according to her theory the second time was because of a mental blocking, haha :D!). Also, I hit the wall. Glad when there - finally - only was downhill left...

Orienteering race (relay) 51:00 [4]

Swiss Relay Champs. 3rd leg for OLG Herzogenbuchsee. After two stable races delivered by Katja and Marion, I was sent out in the forest in a bronze position (one team ahead had some foreigners and did therefore not count, something I did not realize at this point). Was very confused to the first control and lost about 1.15 on the route already. Got caught by Sabine and lost her in the downhill after #4. Took a not so superduper route-choice to #5 and also lost time to #8 where I had an unvoluntary date with blackberry-bushes and nettles (love. Mittelland. not.). Finally got my legs going towards the end (where it was all uphill, haha) but came in as the fourth team anyway... Well well. Ok races by all three of us, but potential for more in the future ;).

"Let's go for a ride", Trutti said. Mhm, turned out to become a pretty long one (but those spontaneous ones are always the best ones!). Bern-Gurnigel-Rüeggisberg-Schwarzenburg-Bern. 71.83km with about 1530m of climb. Unfortunately, we did not really get the view we would have deserved (super foggy!), but it was a very nice session anyway. Worked on my downhill-skills. Got 68 km/h as max speed on my Garmin, no idea whether that is fast, but it felt fast at least and Trutti could not get rid of me where it was steep (where he did not have the weight-advantage ;)). Yeah!

Guess I'll skip the second session today though :P.

Last selection race for WUOC, sprint in Rubigen. Felt good physically and did ok technically except some route-choices that weren't the best ones (#3, #11). Beaten by Marion by a few seconds - again! Have to work on my sprint-skillz.
