Friday Jan 19

Easy run 33:00 [3]
was running around priny, passed an older guy who of course like a lot of guys around princes park did'nt like being passed by a girl, so he caught up to me (the pace had picked up) then started being a bit of a smart arse i think. was trying to cut me off and make me run into the tree's. so i ran faster and he said "do you want a race" so i said "to the corner", and i out sprinted him to the end :) then i jogged home slowly quite pleased with myself.

humidity and pollution is a pretty gross mix, i'm glad i'm going to kangaroo island next week.
C • that guy sounds like a bit of ... 3
Note
why is'nt ap letting me post comments to anyone?

Thursday Jan 18

Intervals 13:00 [5]
6 x 600s at princes park, but it could have been longer than 600m, it felt longer anyway probably just the heat. time for each one between 2' 02 and 2'09.
warm up/down 45:00 [3]

Wednesday Jan 17

Easy run 40:00 [3]
shoes: brooks trance
I should probably put that I went for 2, 20 minute jogs. I absolutely had to have a big chocolate mud muffin an hour before i decided to go running and after about 15 minutes I really felt like vomiting. Did'nt want to waste the good nutritional value of my muffin though so i stopped and sat on a swing ( a still swing) and listened to cold play for half an hour so my tummy could do some digesting. Then I ran back home and felt a whole lot better. maybe I should have put it down as 2 training sessions.
C • Cracker Story 2

Thursday Jan 11

Intervals intervals 15:00 [5]
shoes: brooks trance
10 x 400's, with ~ 90 seconds recovery. i felt like shite running tonight, i'll blame it on cocktails and heat.
Intervals warm up/down 40:00 [3]
Note
on another note, i went to the beach today but did'nt get to even get in the water as someone smashed the window of my friends car, nothing got stolen this time though....

Wednesday Jan 10

Sunday Jan 7

Orienteering race 48:00 [4] 5.8 km (8:17 / km)
shoes: brooks trance
Had a good run today, absolutely loved running through the pine forests in the rain. Was a nice fast course. did'nt really make any errors, was maybe a little low going in to 2. Amber caught me at 10 and I managed to keep her in sight till 18, she was super fast and she made me run faster, but then she disappeared and I was stuffed so slowed down a little at the end. So much fun!
C • So much fun 2
warm up/down 10:00 [3]
just realised how little warming up and down I do at orienteering

Saturday Jan 6

Orienteering 1:23:33 [4] 8.2 mi (10:11 / mi)
shoes: brooks trance
Started off pretty well, but stuffed up number 12 and lost a few minutes. Got distracted by someone asking me where they were. took the above option on the long leg which I think was the right one but made it tricky coming down from the top of the hill to the control, got a bit confused near the control circle but jymbo and some others came running into the control just in time. stuffed up 15 (was a bit low). also another really good fun course.
warm up/down 10:00 [3]

Friday Jan 5

Orienteering 39:55 [4] 4.0 mi (9:58 / mi)
shoes: brooks trance
Tricky course, took it slow so as not to muck up too much, a bit scrappy towards the end but otherwise ok.

Thursday Jan 4

Orienteering 49:59 [4] 5.8 mi (8:36 / mi)
shoes: brooks trance
Had a good run today. Stupidly just followed the pack to the first control and ended up stuck in a patch of green which meant i was left a little behind. pretty clean the rest of the course, should have taken the lower option going from 17 to 18. Had heaps of fun on this course!

Wednesday Jan 3

Event: Ultimax 5-Days

Orienteering race 21:35 [4]
shoes: brooks trance
Took it carefully as had'nt been out in the forest for a while, pretty clean run a bit scrappy at no 6.
warm up/down 15:00 [3]
