Northern Champs at Wharncliffe woods- 2nd W18, 3rd Course 6. Overall reasonably clean, apart from silly mistakes at C5 (+ 2min) and C10 (+2min). Didnt feel like i could pick up much speed through the terrain until the last couple controls where i just committed through the brambles. Most time lost of each leg was in the circle, need to have a more solid picture and not just expect to see the kite of approach. Defo got lucky a few times.

Easy one keeping HR low. Stayed out of the hills due to the weather and didn’t want to get carried away with myself before the weekend. Started sleeting as I was at the track so took a short cut through some gardens to get home quicker. Don’t know why I wore shorts and a t shirt. (spring watch - saw a red kite and a heron)

Don’t know what’s going on with the HR, really need to remember to wear strap. Really didn’t want to run at lunch time today so ditched that and just jogged to the gym instead. Keeping it as slow as possible basically.
