Corstorphine Hill O with Kat, taking every 2nd control. New area for me, outdid my expectations! Fun course and knee was really good throughout, started to feel a bit achy at ~30 but settled down. Cut the course short to keep it at 35. Quite sore in the evening after but have done quite a bit of cycling the last few days and no rolling or stretching so think that’s why. Need to get back on top of things.

Summer is that you? Out to glen dye, finzean and then up to birse church. Birse road was busy with other cyclist which was nice to see. Best bit is always the downhill but was disgusting with all these swarms of wee flies, feel my face was completely clarted. Back over toms cairn and down rogers road to potarch.

Forest sprint at Dess. Planned a head to head with kirsty, but dont think either of us expected for it to turn out as such a full max effort lol - but guess that just our competitive twin instinct coming through. Basically just me hanging on to kirsty the whole way round until it came to any actual nav legs. Got ahead on the last control but kirsty out sprinted me on the downhill track to the finish, gonna blame that on holding back to protect the knee.....WD round the activity park to make up the time.
But yeh probably not the best thing for the knee as quite sore immediately afterwards, but on the other hand quite an interesting experiment. Once i got home didn't feel it and the next day on my cycle literally no pain at all.
