Orienteering 1:08:00 [3] 9.9 km (6:52 / km) +350m 5:50 / km

Long Slow Orienteering with a real focus on compass. Took so many dodgy routes, just running straight when path was obviously better. Some small mistakes, most when tired.
Knew I was doing another course after so took it slow and steady.

Orienteering 41:00 [3] 5.9 km (6:57 / km) +200m 5:57 / km

Green course + running around assembly before starting. Punched download like it was another control and ran straight through (think they were a bit confused).
Did the green in about 32 which was decent, so tired and slow through the terrain and getting more and more scrappy towards the end.
Was a good session, need to practice on taking them cleanly when proper tired (15k+ of Orienteering).

Orienteering 45:00 [3] 5.0 km (9:00 / km) +150m 7:50 / km

Nice training at Hawes End with WCOC.
Perfect weather - cold and crisp but sunny. Nice terrain.

Did blank map compass exercises only, hit most of them, good training.

Getting the 'instabangers' by the lake after.

Gym 45:00 [3]

Morning Gym
Had to show Joe what was what + didn't get out of bed as soon as I should have so didn't get everything I wanted to done. Bit annoying - both my morning sessions haven't been perfect this week - but it'l do.

Orienteering 42:00 [3] **** 5.0 km (8:24 / km) +300m 6:28 / km
12c

Savage in the dark at fangs brow.
Planned by my history teacher from school so - Cumbria's a small place
Course was nice - focusing on compass - running straight even when the obvious route choice was round, made it a bit slow and tough going but was good training.
Savagely cold and proper sketchy across the scree in the snow and ice.

Cross Training (Mountain Bike) 2:00:00 [2]

Did some solid biking at Whinlatter. All the trails were totally iced up - making even the easy bits proper sketchy. Came down the worst bit in the dark with no light slipping all over the place at the end as well - kept it together and didn't fall off (which was a big plus). #basicallyaprobiker
Riding to the top of the downhill bits on the logging tracks in the snow was proper tough and gave me the aerobic that I would have got from a long run anyway.

Swimming 20:00 [3]

Pool got closed halfway through swimming because chlorine levels were dangerously high (apparently).

Meant I only got 20 lengths done, bit annoying because I got out of bed super early for not much.

6 PM

Running intervals 24:00 [4] 6.0 km (4:00 / km)

Track 3 x 4 x 400m

Aimed for 80s

Alastair hurt his toe so timed/motivated me.

Running warm up/down 30:00 [2] 3.5 km (8:34 / km)
