Pleased with how Lakes 5 Days went, technically feeling fresher and sharper despite likely being rusty. Not as unfit as would have expected.

Overall a better position to build on than I expected having had 3 months of nothing. Best of all, buzzing about orienteering & racing again.

Good first section, ankle paining a few mistakes (biggie on 6) meant called it a day not to hurt ankle more and jogged second half.

Orienteering pretty solid except from a poor route choice and execution to #6.

Know im going to be off the pace this week so taking it relaxed and aiming for good technique.
Grim weather but made it more interesting - fairly technically solid at the start but mistakes creeping in as got tired - perhaps 4 mins total
Ankle pain not too bad - twinging a bit over the rocks but taping is helping
Buzzing about orienteering again anyhow
