Note

Bit of a weird week - being right on the edge of being ill and having varsity = missed sessions - but quite a bit weekend means the miles weren't awful. Needs to step up a bit though.

Running - Trail / Road 12:29 intensity: (7:00 @2) + (5:29 @3) 2.18 km (5:44 / km) +35m 5:19 / km

Orienteering 1:31:43 [3] 15.79 km (5:48 / km) +305m 5:18 / km

Southern Champs - M21E, 1st
Legs not the freshest after yesterday. Felt really weird Orienteering again after a while and ankles / hamstrings finding the terrain running a bit of a shock.

Fairly clean - nothing over 45secs. But quite a few smallish misses. Running with DuncanB for quite a lot of it (11-27). Never right with him but we were generally quite near. Showed how much time I was losing without realising.

Bonked quite hard on the last 10mins. Had never really been pushing but think I just straight up ran out of blood sugar (light headed etc)

Think I would have had some decent time taken out of me in a more stacked field.

Varsity XC - 3rds - 9th (possibly 10th), 6th Oxford.

Set in pack until first descent - then stretched the legs a bit and got a 15m gap. Not the best race tactics - let them come back but had a bit of a mental switch off towards end of last lap and ended up wrong side of a split.
Working through the rest of the race and picking a few places but once it was obvious Oxford would dominate (and nearest cambridge was a good 150m ahead) never went too deep into the suffering.

5-0 to Oxford overall - good days work
