orienteering 44:00 [3] 3.16 mi (13:55 / mi)

line-o blue hills

orienteering 37:41 [3]

Fairly clean race. Biggest mistake was up at ten which unfortunately you can't see very well on the map. I got the clearing by 10 and could not find the path leading up to ten. So I just went the way I thought it would be without taking a true baring. Luckily got caught by fence that surrounded map before getting to far.

orienteering 45:00 [3] 6.0 km (7:30 / km)

Time and distance are slightly off because I managed my watch badly. We did two exercises in this time. The first was a contour training where with out a map we had to try to follow a contour. I was not very good at this and ended up about two contours to low. Next we did a relocation training which was basically a 30 minute run with stops to say were we were.

running 5:50 [4]

Bare foot 5 by 400's with four minute break at 85% speed.
Time were about 70 seconds each. Fastest 68 slowest 71.
Going into this I thought I having no shoes would not really effect anything about this workout. During the workout it did not change much. But post workout it made the arches of my feet very sore.

running 58:18 [3] 7.52 mi (7:45 / mi)

This was a nice recovery after the race. I felt great throughout the whole run. My legs were feeling better and it was a great temperature. We ran in smaller groups the we normally do on medium to long runs and it felt really nice to just run at an easy pace, with out people constantly trying to out pace each other.

running race 16:05 [5] 2.8 mi (5:45 / mi)

I felt pretty good starting this race. I was running the pace I wanted and was not to tired. However as the race went on I did not feel like I could push my self as much as I wanted. Even in the final kick I felt slower the usual. I felt especially tired going up the hills, my legs were very sore. Hopefully I can do better in next weeks race.
