running warm up/down 30:00 [2]

running intervals 23:00 [4]

10 by 400 with about a 30 meter cool down which came down to being about 30 seconds. I was pretty happy with my times for this work out being just about my two-mile pace. I ran most of the them at 77 with the fastest being a 74 and the slowest being a 78. My breaks did get slightly longer as the workout went on do to fatigue.

running race 10:06 [5] 2.0 mi (5:03 / mi)

So you know I decided to do a two-mile at today's race just to see how it would go. This was my first two-mile of the year and I was seeded much higher then I thought I should have been. I was a little concerned that I was going to get last in the heat because the heat before us (keep in mind the heats go slowest to fastest) had almost everyone run under 1020 which was well under my PR. Long story short it went ok, I mean I only PR by about 25 seconds and everyone knows you have to PR by a minute for it to be a good race. This race got me really excited to run the two-mile again and gave me the confidence that I could break ten with one or two more races.
