What is below is quite ugly and should not be viewed by people under 16. I myself had quite some trouble looking at it while I was making it. Feel free to just imagine the worse orienteering you can think of, it would probably be better than the actual course.

Last chance to not look.

Honestly, the GPS does not look as bad as it felt. It looks pretty clean just very slow (besides 7). In reality, it was both quite slow and bad orienteering. I ran 15 min km and even when you take out my 15-minute mistake I still did not break ten-minute km's. I don't know if it was the heat, the stress of a "race", the course, or what but just everything went wrong. It's a little hard to tell from the route but I did not confidently hit one control even when I was basically walking. Running in the same park tomorrow so hopefully, I can get some revenge on this course.

running 15:00 [3] 2.0 km (7:30 / km)

10 minute run. 5 ish minute of dyno's.

orienteering 23:27 [3] 4.75 km (4:56 / km)

First day of Moc/practice JWOC. Did a sprint with Bridget at Tufts, that Barb set up and hung streamers for. Super fun course, all though the hills and the heat really killed me.

Notes on course: Overall pretty solid course a few route choice errors and one parallel feature error but besides that pretty clean. My biggest time loss by far was simply trying to see the control and the 90-degree heat even at 8 in the morning. One thing I am happy about with the course was that I fell for none of the tricks and effectively looked ahead before falling for a trap.

More specific course notes because I like typing: Number 1 could not see the control but I overshot it without that. Number 2 went the wrong way. 3 and 4 were fine. 5 misread the bridges and ended up going a little out of the way. Going to 9 large building in field so could not cut and then could not for the life of me see the streamer, I knew I was in the right spot I was just blind. 10 the frustration from 9 made me make a parallel error, probably the biggest mistake for the course. The rest of this map went fine, was a little slow on the hill but no huge mistakes and I didn't even fall for the bridge traps so bonus.

Notes continued: The only real thing to say is on 24 there was construction which is why my GPS track is off.

Super fun course and thank you so much Barb and everyone else who set and streamered this course and the others for this week.

8 by 200. It was supposed to be a easy workout but then it was 90 degrees and I was running with a sprinter so not that easy.

Kind of died running back super dehydrated and really hot. Was a mix of run and walk for first half and then I stopped to buy a Powerade drank it to fast and continued to walk run the rest of the recovery.
