camp champs.
i only got halfway to five (to the gully with the fence), and that took me 38 minutes im guessing it was about 3.5km but i'm probably overestimating. walked back to the finish from there.

peg race at cherrabah.
i got a peg at the first control and then i pretty much walked/jogged the rest of the course. i decided it was too cold to run properly... spiked all the controls, wouldve been pretty annoyed if i didn't considering how slowly i was going.

middle distance at cascades from saturday. i ran the red 2
was going pretty well, lost maybe 2 minutes on the first control. pretty well on 2 - 7, then i was a little bit off on 8, to the north. completely stuffed the 9th control, lost at least 12 minutes on it. 10 was a bit iffy, mostly cuz i didn't really plan the route because i was shitty at myself for the 9th so i just ran off. 11 was good. aside from the 9th control i was pretty happy with this.

contour only at sandy creek
i was actually out for 41ish minutes but i stopped near the start triangle and talked to brooke who was waiting for julia then when krystal came past (who started 4 min after me) i ran with her. had a little bit of trouble with the first control, was a gully too far west. skipped the 7th control, which was pretty random of me since it didn't even cut out much of the course. had a little bit of trouble with 10 was too low.

Orienteering 55 [4] 7.0 km (8 / km)

skins at sandy creek.
went with laurina, ben, kelsey, gary and krystal. wasn't first to any, but we were all pretty much the same to a lot of them. it was heaps of fun, even though it was raining and pretty cold.

Orienteering 45:42 [4] 4.76 km (9:36 / km)

Visualisation at sandy creek. pretty easy since i pretty much know the map off by heart. gary started 2 min after me and caught me at the 6th control and i ran the rest of the way with him, except i lost him somewhere around 10 but then found him again at 12 so dunno what happened there but anyways. it was a fairly good run :)
seven jumping cactuses though. still have spikes in my legs :(
oh well.

slower than i was hoping, but ok i guess.

ran around a little bit trying to warm up a bit before the time trial. didn't really work though.

got there early and went for a jog for about 15 minutes to test out my ankle (bit twingy, but pretty much ok) + normal warm up

Orienteering 30:00 [0]

random maps and we had to pick on up like normal start procedure and run to the start triangle by the time we got there had to have the direction and the leg memorised and tell it to your partner. did it 10 or 11 times.

played rob the nest 3 times.

Orienteering 10:00 [2]

ran around with a 1:15000 granite map with a partner (i went with bridgy) doing alternate legs and talking about how you would get to each leg, and we werent allowed to stop running. when it started getting dark it was a bit hard to see some of the detail.

Run 13:00 [4]

bridgys intervals: 1,2,3,2,1 minute with 1 minute break between each.
i ran at bridgy's pace except for the last 2 i went pretty hard. felt good, i think i'm getting fitter yay..

strength 20:00 [3]

decided i needed some strength work.

really it was just procrastination from study. sociology should go die.

Orienteering 1:06:57 [3] 5.0 km (13:23 / km)

at brooklands. really nice area. pity i wasnt up to running much :( it was perfect running weather too.
there were long legs and some control picking.
i just did 1, 2, 3, 18, 17, 16, 15, 17, 19, finish (i think, i probs should go check my map but meh). took me 42 minutes to get to 15 so i turned around, came back a lot quicker though i forget to factor in how slow i was going at the start before my ankle warmed up properly.

red 2 at cotswold north.

overshot the 1st control, saw bridgy at 2 was a bit confused because she started before me. then saw brookey at 4 she started after me but she was ahead of me :( messed up the 5th control a bit, was way too low, but i saw bridgy and brookey again they were going into 6 so i was like ohhh i know where i am now... the rest of hte course was alright i was trying to catch bridgy and brooke after that but i didn't :( ended up doing the same time as bridgy.
overall it was an alrightish run but most of the time i was really having to push myself to keep running because i was pretty tired. the errors were just from not concentrating properly im pretty sure.

(injured)

left my wallet and orienteering box in my dads car got to amiens and was like oh shit this will be fun without a compass.
was mildly lost between the 2nd and 3rd control of skins figured out where i was and was running fairly fast trying to catch ian again and not really looking where i was putting my feet and i sprained my ankle again. its not too bad though. but that wrecked that training. i was sitting on the ground for about 10 minutes then i walked back to the cars.

shadowing, i went with laurina.
stuffed up the 9th control, was going right angles to where i shouldve been, and went down a creek too early to 10.
it was pretty dark by the time we were getting to the end.

i might try and do a proper stretch tonight because my back is pretty sore but i think its cuz my hamstrings are too tight.
