12 PM

Running 6:56 [2] 1.1 km (6:18 / km) +60m 4:57 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5

Up to Observatory

Running hills 13:00 [4] 2.7 km (4:49 / km) +80m 4:12 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5

Short session: 7 x 1min up, 1 min down. (first rep ungarmined)

Up Blackford Hill with Dad, wasn't quite getting back to the start point each rep so creeping up the hill. Maybe should've done more but felt like hard work and legs feeling that Pentlands run a bit
1 PM

Running 13:36 [2] 2.4 km (5:40 / km) +30m 5:20 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5

round the back and home

10 AM

Running long 2:00:54 [3] 19.7 km (6:08 / km) +1069m 4:50 / km

Annoying for garmin to stop today, stole from Jack's strava. Filthy long run with Jack Fred and Will in the Pentlands: hillend-allermuir-castlelaw-turnhouse-getlost™-allermuir-hillend.

Bit of an effort on castlelaw and second allermuir climbs, but otherwise chilled pace. Legs zonked at finish but recovered okay. Calories sufficiently replenished at Carcas fry-up and Eades anniversary afternoon tea ;)
12 PM

Running 9:00 [1] 1.6 km (5:37 / km)

Home from Fred's with soaking muddy inov8s, ruined legs and a boatload of bacon in the belly. Feeling horrific in that kinda nice way

2 PM

Running 36:44 [3] 8.0 km (4:36 / km) +60m 4:26 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5

Nice chill pace on meadows with Tom and Fred. Trying to stretch out these tight calves with more miles may not be the answer...

Running 3:34 [1] 0.6 km (5:57 / km) +10m 5:29 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5

Running intervals 47:32 [4] 10.8 km (4:24 / km) +100m 4:12 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5

Not sure exactly what this was but nice session, down to meadows via links. 3 fast kms with a slow km rest in between. Guess it got the mileage done more spicily than usual
12 PM

Running warm up/down 3:12 [1] 0.6 km (5:20 / km) +10m 4:55 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5

cooldown, calves looser

Wednesday Sep 6 #

10 AM

Running 1:16:54 [3] 17.0 km (4:31 / km) +210m 4:16 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5

Nice Wednesday run, bit of an early start though. Did Links-Meadows-HB-Meadows-Toms with Tom and an extra loop down canal and Morningside with Fred. Feeling pretty good except the calves which are still quite tight.
11 AM

Running warm up/down 5:44 [1] 1.1 km (5:13 / km) +10m 4:59 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5

Longer cooldown cos those calves are meaannn tight

Note
(rest day)

Tempted by intervals but don't wanna overdo it and get reinjured and planning a long one with Fred and Tom tomorrow.
12 PM

S&C 15:00 [3]

Physio - boring but nothing better to do, swear the stair dips are pointless

Monday Sep 4 #

Note

Experiment with logging deliveroo has come to an end. Basically just can't be bothered and not sure its that useful (also don't need it to make it look like I'm training any more since I'm back running very nearly painfree :p)
3 PM

Running 42:54 [3] 10.0 km (4:17 / km) +60m 4:10 / km
shoes: Asics GT-1000 5

Wee cruise along the canal with T +5k down and back. Turns out Fountainbridge is further to run than I thought.
Calves on fire after Allermuir descent yesterday and weather dismal but felt pretty good anyway.
4 PM

Running warm up/down 4:08 [3] 0.8 km (5:10 / km)
