big fat DNS on BUCS.

Not what I wanted, and I probably could've got round, but decided I'd be better to save myself for more important races in the not-too-distant future. Hoping to be back running at some point in the next week but will play it by ear.

Meanwhile it was a great course to spectate on, and a great feeling to see both Freddie and the big Tabs taking silver.

Calf massage. Kinda hoped to get some advice on the shins but not much said. Getting less and less sure about whether BUCS is a good idea at all

Had a look at the track, where I was planning to do a short tempo. Had a look at the sky and got quite wet, so just went home. Probably sensible with shin complaint more noticeable rather than less after loosening off the calf :/

Very easy Fen Ditton. First time this term its felt slower than it was which is always nice. Bit of a weird week with everyone tapering for BUCS while I want to keep training, but a reduced mileage week might be sensible given the bits of shin pain recently.

Last minute decision to pass on intervals. Calves have been so tight and legs so heavy that it probably wouldn't be all that useful in terms of speed, and there's a bit of pain in the shins so best to hold off I reckon.

Legs recovered a bit from the weekend, but taking it slightly easier this week with BUCS at the end.
