British Champs

Made the same mistake as everyone at #3 and lost a moderate amount of time. Other errors here and there and not my cleanest orienteering but also not a terrible race. Nice not to totally bonk for once, and probably a better race than many this year - but not at the level I want to be competing at.

shoes: Asics GT 1000 6 (heavies)

Disappointing 0 turnout for the 5pm. Solo Cabbage Byron's with the intention of going recovery pace to shake off niggles from the long run, but ended up going a bit quicker than that which was nice.

Running (out of date) long 1:28:00 [3] 18.4 km (4:47 / km) +70m 4:42 / km
shoes: Asics GT 1000 6 (heavies)

Rolled out of bed at 9:57, and made it to the 10am long run. Pretty happy with that but meant no time for garmin nonsense, so numbers above are made of some maths + strava witchcraft.

Felt okay once I met the group, but the early start got the better of me and ended up dropped. Bit of a push to catch Paul Paul and Phill, and then a big push to try to bride the gap back to the main group. Gap proved too quick though, so Paul and Phill (inexplicably minus other Paul) chewed me up and spat me out coming back towards Grantchester. Hit the bonk on the fields and had to walk a bit before crawling to Newnham for much needed brunchage.

Tfw you're training to get fit enough to do a training run #riperoo
