Hawthornthwaite Howler
Was only planning on doing this once with dad but they’ve had to change the route so might do it again. Was a pretty nice course.
With some field running to begin with then after a short road section a big run up a shooters track to the fell. The track was insanely steep how anything can drive up it I have no idea. Then a flat section on top of the moor then a steep descent back down to the river. Messed up the first section of the downhill cos I was running off an old map. Had to cross the river right at the end which was pretty sketchy cos it was moving quite fast. All in all a nice day out with dad

Longest run meaning the fabled Arrochar Alps run has finally been dethroned. Surprised it took this long tbf. Got the same kinda death like feels after as well hahaha perhaps I need to fuel up a bit more before hand. Shame I didn’t have Rona’s cookies this time but good to get it done.

On a side note, January was my longest running month from home distance wise ever. I feel the mix of cycling and running is working quite well so will be interesting to see how I’m going once hopefully the races start up again.
