This was a glorified trail run with the second hour chasing munzees. The pack was noticeably heavier carrying water but .75L was not enough. I ran back by Richcraft community centre to refill and rehydrate. Distance is true measure. I can't recall the last in-the-zone workout of this duration. Humidex near 30 kept my heart rate up, apparently.

Running 1:00:46 [3] 9.6 km (6:20 / km)

Add two minutes for trail side potty stop...run club.

Running 19:30 [3] 2.6 km (7:30 / km)
shoes: New Balance AT626

I ran only until my GPSr batteries ran down. I've got poison ivy on lower left leg from Saturday, between socks and pants. I wore thin small socks to minimize blistering on a nearly 4h outing.

Rorry suggested a 4h workout as prep for the ROGAINE, so here goes. Because I forgot my water bottle, I was forced to go out real slow. I would have had an even more relaxed walk through the forests of the South March Highlands but the mosquitoes turned my outing from a munzee frenzy to a trail run. Two cliff bars aren't enough.

My limp must be more pronounced to observers than I think. Running home along Terry Fox in the rain, I felt good but a car did a u-turn and offered me a ride. I don't know who was more embarrassed, me or the nice family.

Distance is true, not as the crow flies.

I just missed an FTF.

Running 1:25:00 [3] 9.9 km (8:35 / km)
shoes: New Balance AT626

This was my first running-only outing in weeks. Apparently there was no run club tonight though I did start out from BCCN. Inadvertantly I forget to bring my technology, allowing for a determination of my true running pace...at least my natural pace for running while dealing with tummy trouble and fatigued legs (from 7.5h of orienteering last week). I'll be logging my slower runs as level 3 as I prepare for an 8h ROGAINE.

I was running 11:00/km until horrid route choice across wasteland to 207. Footing, fencing and parsnip had me so slow that mosquitoes ate me alive.

Checking on Lela in Orleans in the evening, I didn't do run club. Instead I did some more work on the orienteering event. My feet are getting blisters from so much time on the run.
