Brother ran it with me and used the Dual-Tracs (which I will log). This was his first time ever on real snowshoes and he held his own. I stuck to him through the first lap as there were understandable issues learning how to tighten snowshoes. My back lap was timed in 46:00. I took the deepest powder or walked down the descents. This was my first race in the 1025s. Due to the lack of running, I suffered thigh chafing.

John Ranson won the race outright. Oh for my knee to be back where it once was. I actually could have won the event. The speedsters didn't show up.

Bad news: I was too anxious to sleep before event but it went well. Good news: even waiting on brother, I finished in the time that I had calculated.

Depending on my recovery, I will now register for the nationals.
