orienteering (Timm Drive South) 51:54 [3] *** 3.4 km (15:16 / km)
11c shoes: Columbia Trail Meister

I knew that I had to look after Ziggy but I went to O training anyway. The exercise was to choose differing route choices through the course and compare split times. Ziggy & I ran the course backwards and he soon learned to run away from the orienteers rather than follow them. I took too long making Ziggy-based route choices which limited thick and/or biting ground cover. Darkness fell before a second run was possible.

basic 2:00 [1]

23 crunches
17 p/u

Running warm up/down 4:07 [3] 0.65 km (6:20 / km)
shoes: New Balance MT572

Running 8:18 [4] 1.0 mi (8:18 / mi)
shoes: New Balance MT572

Sometimes I have zero discipline. I didn't come to the track to run but I couldn't resist attempting (and soundly failing) to run with coached female runners on track.

walking 12:57 [3] 1.0 mi (12:57 / mi)
shoes: New Balance MT572

The target was 12:54. I scored excellent in the walk test, marginal in the crunch test and poor in the pushups.

Running warm up/down 6:08 [3] 0.85 km (7:13 / km)
shoes: New Balance MT572

Note

108/56 51bpm

Heart rate is high but blood pressure low, dehydrated and worn out from yesterday?

canicross 16:00 [3] 1.6 km (10:00 / km)
shoes: Columbia Trail Meister

This should definitely be a day off my feet but the terrier is still full of energy.

This entry is running distance, not orienteering distance, which better reflects wear on my shoes.
