This was my longest run between races in Utica (July) and Detroit (October). I didn't negative split but then that wasn't the point. The point was to reacquaint my shoes and my feet with a lengthy effort. I could not maintain the pace beyond 5k (30:00 10k 62:23) but then my training had a focus on 5k speed (and unfortunately therefore 5k endurance). I can still dream - I'll start out at 5k pace, racing Corey side by side, and somehow magically sustain that pace for 21k.
Needless to say, my knee is on fire.
