Recovery from my good effort on Sunday has been a challenge. In my walking stride, my left leg does not want to come straight forward. I'd like to blame the few extra pounds but I suspect that detraining and worn shoes are the more likley causes. I'll have to return to a physio regimen soon rather than later.

Before the first race of the season, I was supposed to test my cheap compass to confirm I needed a new one. It's a bit late now but I sure need a replacement. Fortunately, I know the woods and the sun was shining. I've never before had shoes that lasted 1000 miles but they did the job today even if my legs will be sore for a while.
