Running21:00 2.5 km (8:24 / km) shoes: New Balance 610v4
I must be getting sick. I went to the track for interval work. I could only manage 1k at run pace, on sheer will power. I failed to get 150m at race pace. It might have been the heat, humidex 31. It might have been the poutine. I should prepare the bike for the next workout.

I maintained strong pacing through 5k. After hydration break at Richcraft, for the first time in many months I passed joggers. From 9k on, toes on left foot were hot. I expect blisters and possibly black nails. Nails were trimmed this morning. Lacing may have contributed. I don't know why this shoe issue would not have been a problem on the hills in Nanaimo.
Running59:07 7.6 km (7:47 / km) shoes: New Balance 610v4
I was back on the home track hoping mountain running had brought quicker legs but I now doubt this was the case. Six 500m intervals at 2:55 but failed on 3 (2:56), 5 and 6 (2:58).
