I am used to snowshoeing at night with no lamp. However, I still need to be careful of branches in the eye.

In the darkness, my snowshoes went on the wrong feet. My nail less big toe is most unhappy. I also had on two pairs of socks, windchill -18.

Rock solid, uneven frozen ground makes it unsafe for both human and canine at Bruce Pit. Those conditions also make for poor snowshoeing. Instead, I did a risky activity, using the virgin snow on the ballast between the rails, South March Station, Renfrew sub MP3. Much of the time I felt like bonking. Even so, I could not get in to cardio range. Though after dark, no lamp was required.

Ski-O was rained out. This is my first and likely only run in January. Stride on the NordicTrak felt precarious and unstable.
