First race of jwoc! Really focused in nav today with how complex the terrain was but this meant I was going slower than I could have been.

Middle terrain training... did two sets of controls at a higher race pace. Pretty scrappy green so will have to have a mind set in the middles to fight hard. Did pretty well on the first set of controls with one small route choice error. Second set was not a good with more small mistakes.

First time out in danish forest in terrain similar to the long. Took it easy to focus on getting a feel for the forest and how fast it is. About half way through my shoe lace snapped so had to walk the rest.

Compass focused short loop. Took a few of them a bit fast but still not really pushing. Made a couple bearing mistakes

Took the first and last 5 controls fast. Then did some of the connecting controls at an easy pace. Generally did pretty go with a few mistakes missing a turn by a few steps and having to go back.
