usual warm up
orienteering race (jwoc sprint) 15:24 [5]
jwoc sprint was good and stuff and had pretty clean as run. route choice was good too. i was in my zone today.
ended up 49th so i cracked the top 50 and im pretty happy with that considering it was the sprint, my weakest discipline.

middle distance technique training.
boosted my confidence majorly except for the control that wasnt there and i spend 10mins looking for it and everyone passed me.. GRRR
had fell shadowing me

relay training witht the nz kiddies.
shocking now focus really slow.
BUT postivness was that i relocated really well.
i seem to be getting really good at relocating here... all i need to do now is not get lost.

training around skatäs again. did a 1.5000 course that was suppose to help me with bearings. it got better by the end but my bearings are stil pretty bad.
Note
last night at 2.30am i woke up to all this banging outside and i was like wtf is that and then the door opened and some guy came in and looked around the place and then he snooped around the club house for ages.
i went back to sleep and he came back at 5 and 7 am and then he broke into someone elses club house and so we called the police and they came and now they are on the hunt for him around skatås


also the door lock is broken and you can see where is broke in

fun fun fun bush intervals around the map where we are staying. Orienteered way better than the other days and alot faster... but apparently i took a crappy route choice through the cliffs but everyone is idiots who follwed me (except uncle jim who showed his class)
very wet and slippery but really enjoyed it.

was thick and wet and not very nice.

more long distance training out at the map near partille with shep and jo. the girls went around in groups and got shadowed by jim jo and simon. all good.

swedish trial sprint race. did shit on number 2.

did the middle distance course for the swedish jwoc team trials.
got shadowed by shep while we put the controls out. first time out on the map and i navigated pretty well i think.

okok i actually havnt done this yet....but i will. im currently sitting in the hotel lobby of the holiday inn in tokyo and i checked out the pool and gym here and its all too weird for me. everything here is uber expensive and i cant wait to get to sweden where i actually know someone and there are people i can talk to and understand
SO i will go to my room now and do the 20mins stength exercises (while watching japanese seizure cartoons) cause im not comming back down here to pay money to log it.

also flying on a 747=awesome

king/queen of the mountain road race.
Ian came over last night and said to me "hey you wanna do a running race tomorrow, its called the king of the mountain and you run around the ring road of mt cootha starting at slaughter falls."
SO i went even though this would be my first ever running race..EVER! i had no real expectations so i took maps of sweden to look at while i was running.
So i did that and had a good old time looking at my maps until i got to the 3k point where the checkpoint guy said i was the first female... andso i kinda forgot about the map reading thing and concentrated on running and yeah i came first out of the females.
wooo! i got a cool trophy and now im QUEEN OF THE MOUNTAIN!!!! all hail queen chops! hahaha

so i strapped up my knee and went for a little run around my street. NO PAIN!! and then i took the bike out a rode for about 2min...NO PAIN!

biggest relief ever to be able to do this with abosolutly no pain. it has been a pretty depressing week this week with not being about to run and being uncertain of this whole knee situation but i think im on top of it and i have high hopes for training next week.
this was a wuss fartlek session where i did 30sec than 30 walking.

knee doesnt hurt at all now except when i squat. so thats all good. oh and figured out that riding may be a no go too.

so this was a line course at gap creek. managed to run 10 mins then stop and walk for 10mins then run for 10 etc turned out to be alot more walking than actually running, but it was fast walking... haha had to collect a control too so this is added in there

knee still sore but sooooo much better than what it was on the weeked.
no pain now while walking, just a little sore when i rub it.

strapped up my knee real good (actually i think i did it too tight because i was unable to run properly) but anyway the pain wasnt there for a bit but came back at the 12min mark. walked for a bit and it went away came home and now it doesnt hurt at all. i am currently icing it and putting some anti diflam rub on it. mmmm tasty
oh and i know its not a standard 20min run but my knee hurts!
