CAN YOU IDENTIFY THIS INJURY?
After running yesterday in the qld mid distance champs, i had this massive itch on the back of my left achiles tendon on my skin. It was red and looked like a bite right on the back of my leg just above my shoe line. I was wearing socks so.. i dont think it is a bite, however i got a jumping cactus( tiger pear) in that same spot on the course. The itch then became pain, and was very sore by 8pm where my brother said i had what seems like achilies tendonitus.. :S He strapped it and the pain went away. I ran this morning on the long distance and i was in alot of pain when i came back and the pain worsened to a point where just moving my leg hurt. It hurts the flex my foot down and i can not stand on my toes at all. Is it achiles tendonitis? i have never had problems with my foot before... sooo i dunno. Is it a jumping cactus needle embbed deep into my heel?
any ideas?
