Snake pit reps x 6 . Tough work after a long day out at an excursion. Old tailem town would be interesting as a sprint although small.

orienteering 53:00 [3]

Middle act.

I don't know why this didn't work today. I felt good at the start, I felt focused and I started hard which was evident by my splits to 5 in which I was in the lead. Then I read the green wrong going to 6 and began to panic that I was too short. I figured it out ok but I felt rushed and panicked for the rest of the course and my breath felt really short. I didn't get my breathing right and I think my head was all over the place so I was making more mistake.

I felt a bit deflated and in the last loop I really struggled. I lost my breath completely twice and went into complete hyperventilating panic mode at 19 and 21. And then when I finished I lost my breath again and had another hyperventilating episode. So embarrassing and I think I need to go to the doctor to check for asthma or maybe talk to a sports psychologist about why I am panicking so much.

Warm up for both races

run 15:00 [3]

Warm down for both races

orienteering 13:11 [3]

Heat a race. Felt good from the start and was focused. Very observant of my surroundings and reading ahead what I needed to see.

orienteering 14:02 [3]

A bit hesitant in places but surprised that I was in the lead at the map change. Slowed down and was actually heaving in breathes by the end.
