Grass session race (BUCS XC Uxbridge ) 35:48 [5] 10.6 km (3:23 / km) +81m 3:15 / km
shoes: Nike rival XCS

Fairly happy with how it went, think it’s top 70 so not bad but not great, a few lads that I have raced in the past had some really good races. 2 laps in a bunch of fields with a not so short but very steep climb and a river crossing. Stacked it over a lad that fell down in front of me and Kashi fell over me but got up and managed to drag myself up the hill. Got a good position on start line tried my best to go with it but was long way off the business end of the race had to settle for a pace I thought I could hold for duration that at times felt quite slow but at other times I felt I was able to pick it up and push on and ran at a pace that I would have liked to have run the whole race at. Had a really good battle with a lad from Leeds Becket who kept putting in some big shifts. Dan Kashi came up along side me about 150 meters from the finish and was able to move up a gear and stay clear. I think it went as well as it could have just a high quality field. Weakest parts were the climbs especially the big steep hill it hurt to transition immediately from up to down but think I took that bit fairly well, strongest parts were the descents and finishing kick. But felt good to finish and it was a really good event to be part of!
