Grass run (80' easy Sedbergh course) 1:18:10 [2] 8.27 mi (9:27 / mi) +807m 7:15 / mi
shoes: Salomon speedcross

Body feeling really good after the race yesterday, heel hurt a little setting off but eased off completely. Horrendous conditions about 20 metre visibility in howling wind and rain. I tried to follow the race route best I could but missed the path up Arant Haw had to go back on myself to find the right path. Ended up doing 1 and quarter laps before heading back.

Road run race (Podium 5k) 15:54 [5] 3.3 mi (4:49 / mi) +15m 4:45 / mi
shoes: adidas Adizero Tempo

Overall satisfied with the race. Was quite a way back on the start line as thought it would be a really fast start but miss judged and had to put a burst to avoid getting stuck. Felt strong up to the half way point, dropped the chase group and was on my own for majority of the race. Felt stomach go a little, probably ate to much during the day. Tried to put a kick in on last lap but struggled especially into a strong headwind and rain. So fairly chuffed to go under 16 minutes officially but just left feeling like something was missing. Heel didn't bother me at all during the warm up or the race but felt it slightly when warming down.
Mile splits: 4:43

Turbo (60' turbo ) 1:00:00 [2]

Heel felt fine on the bike, but still aches a bit to run on but it feels better then yesterday. Kept it over 100 rpm and did 10' in level 8, 10' level 9, 10' level 11, and slowly back down for the last 20 minutes. Other than heel niggle feeling good.

Road run 9:35 [2] 1.33 mi (7:12 / mi)
shoes: adidas Adizero Tempo

Was running with Callum down to the track to do the session and right heel felt very sore so just walked to the track, don't think that it could manage the session today. I texted when I stopped running and just walked back with Callum.

The pain is under my Achilles on the back of the heel which looks slightly inflamed, it was fine once I'd taken my shoes off and it felt as though I could have run barefoot but didn't. It may be something that could go away over night but may equally have to miss podium 5k on Saturday.
This is a new pain that I didn't feel until this morning when getting out of bed, thought that it would just ease off but it persisted so I stopped before it got worse. It also hurt when walking back up small steep hill back to campus.

Trail run (50' mod + 6 x strideouts ) 1:02:11 [3] 9.13 mi (6:49 / mi) +161m 6:27 / mi
shoes: adidas Adizero Tempo

Went out on the trails in the road flats, first bit was quite muddy but they've laid down some new stone path so it isn't as soft as it used to be but still good running. Strideouts felt fast and relaxed and feeling pretty good.

Turbo (60' turbo ) 1:00:00 [3]

Kept it over 100 rpm and the machine said i'd gone over 20 miles and burnt over 1000 calories. 10' level 9, 10' level 10, 10' level 11, 10' level 12 and slowly back down for last 20 minutes feeling pretty good.
