90' easy out along the trails, nice and relaxed, pretty chilly though. Don't think I picked up much damage yesterday just a little sore in left calf muscle but overall not too bad.

Jogged round the course to get a bit of feel for it and did the lunges and strides.

Got a good start but didn't feel like I could run in the front pack, made up places on the hills and felt like I was running pretty quick and was able to keep some form of contact with leading group in which everybody seemed to have big finishing kicks and pulled further away. But felt like it went pretty well. Good day. Just guessing the amount of climb.

Walked down to field where I did the 6 mile progressive run. Turns out one lap is just over half a mile which was handy. Didn't really get any sleep last night as had stomach cramp that kept me up and eased during the morning, so wasn't looking forward to this but felt better for doing it. Probably set off to fast on the first few efforts as I could definitely feel the pace slipping on the last few efforts. 15' easy covering 2.23 miles then straight into the 5 x 1 mile / 3' recovery. Covered 0.48 miles or just over in all the 3' recoveries.

15' easy over 2.29 miles then walking about a mile home, all in all pretty decent considering low energy levels.

60' moderate round the playing fields. Pretty windy but the ground was really good. I think my garmin watch is beginning to struggle, it took a few attempts to turn it on and it won't upload onto the laptop so unsure of the amount of climb.

40' easy round the playing fields. Cold this morning, ground was frozen quite hard, felt like it took a while to get going despite extensive warm up. Stride outs feeling good.
