Trail run (90' moderate) 1:29:55 [3] 13.3 mi (6:46 / mi) +266m 6:22 / mi
slept:6.0 shoes: #2 s-lab sense ultra

90' moderate with Cal out on the trails. It was snowing but not sticking to the round. Coldest run I've done for a while so started slower, but warmed up after a while. Feeling okay today little pain in right hip, no idea why might go away over night, might linger, not sure.

Grass run (15'easy+8x300muphill+15'e) 51:42 intensity: (42:12 @2) + (9:30 @5) 7.16 mi (7:13 / mi) +121m 6:52 / mi
shoes: Salomon s-lab Speed

17' easy round playing fields and down to the grass hill for the 8 x 300 metre gradual uphill at race pace with jog down recovery. Felt like I was moving okay definitely felt like I was swimming in lactic on the last two reps. The air felt cold and sharp and was quite uncomfortable to breath but thankfully no wind. Lots of hail/ice o the ground which was nice and compact to start off with but then started to loosen up. 15' easy back up and round the playing fields. Was nice to run with Cal again.

Road run (40'Easy+ 5 x hill sprints) 42:57 [3] 6.21 mi (6:55 / mi) +87m 6:38 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: adidas ultra boost

37' easy in freezing, wind and hail with Cal, didn't want to trudge through the mud again so went on roads around Bangor. Feeling okay, hill sprints felt pretty smooth though.

40' easy with strides on the boggy grass with Cal. Feeling much better than yesterday.

Track (15'easy+4x1mile+15'easy) 1:00:54 intensity: (40:00 @2) + (20:54 @5) 10.2 mi (5:58 / mi) +65m 5:51 / mi
slept:7.0 shoes: adidas Adizero Tempo

Felt like a little storm kicked up with drizzle rain and strong gusts so went on the track. Recorded the whole run on my Garmin but used a stopwatch on my other arm and just pressed lap every 4 laps and for the 3' recovery. Felt awful. Strong headwind on back half of the track for 200m. Just felt like I couldn't go any faster than moderate pace. Was really hurting but wasn't breathing that hard and recovered really fast in the recovery, I just couldn't lift the pace to what I felt like I should be able to do.
