shoes: S-lab Ultra 2

Over golf course and Cunswick and then over to the end of Scout Scar via Nicks hill and then down to the end of the scar and back down nicks hill and back up the other side and then back home on the road. Not feeling too bad today a little sore in quads and glutes but not really that bad.

20' easy warm up with some drills and strides doing about 10 laps of a football field before walking up to the start.

Grass run (2xlong triangular circuit) 54:10 [4] 10.92 km (4:58 / km) +714m 3:44 / km
shoes: Salomon sense 6 SG

2 tempo laps of the Sedbergh course. Felt much better than last time although second lap felt much harder and had to walk a little towards the top of second climb but managed to maintain a relatively even pace without blowing up this time and was able to relax much more the descents to try and avoid quads not working properly for the next few days. 16'29'' to top of Arrant Haw with a 10'13'' descent giving 26'42'' for the first lap. Then a 17'22'' back to the top with a 10'05'' descent giving 27'27'' for the second lap and 54'10'' overall.

20' easy round the football field. I remember not being able to even jog after last time so I think this is a pretty good sign.

60' easy pretty much same as yesterday with some hill sprints just down the road from the house. Feeling a tad tired but still moving quite easily.

60' easy over the golf course and Cunswick and a few laps of the hilly field then ran back home. Feeling a little tired but okay.

20' easy + 8 x 60'' Sprint Climbing / 3' full recoveries + 20' easy
20' easy round the golf course trails and then did the sprint climbs on the same place as the last few times I did them. Got a little further each time and was really hurting by the last one and legs started to crumble with lactic just as the minute finished. Felt like I recovered fairly well but found it quite tough.

Hot day but think it's the last one for a while so made the most of it. Went to try and recce the lads leap course. Got lost a few times and it was a very stop start run but I was still moving the whole time but just kept stopping my watch when I thought that I wasn't on the right path. Got the first and last bit of the course okay just quite confused about where the loop goes. Seems like quite a gnarly race with some real technical bits and then some bogs which will be pretty bad if it rains. Should make for an interesting race.

80' easy, went up to the scout scar trail by going on the road and doing nick's hill and then doing a lap on the end of the scar before going back down nicks hill and up the other side and coming back home over Cunswick. Quite a hot day and probably ran a bit hard in places but feeling pretty good today.
