Felt really great to be moving fast again and really enjoyed it. A tad slower than last year but I think it was a little bit longer. I wasn’t that aggressive at the start and got pushed around a fair bit. Think I’m just a bit race rusty, I felt pretty strong and paced it fairly well maybe even a little overly cautious as felt pretty strong on last section but definitely left it all out there. Got a faster time than three other Salford guys in the B team and one guy in the A team so should have been in the B team really so I think I’ve done enough to get myself on the B team next time.

Very slow and easy with Chris Law from Holmfirth. Lower calf’s a bit sore but fine now.

Laps of Kendal Green with some diagonals and then a few strides in front of the house.

20’ Jog over the golf course to Cunswick again to do it on the same place as last time, took the recovery easier from the start just walking and jogging very slowly back down for 3 minutes and managed to feel reasonably fast on all of the efforts at least I never felt like I was running slower or straining harder to keep the same kind of pace, so that was good I think.

Laps of Kendal Green. Rain making grass to muddy and slippery for running so was on the road round the outside. Strides moving very well.

Same route as usual around Cunswick and up to the the hilly field and back with a few strides in front of the house which were great! Timed the run perfectly it stopped raining just as got out the house and the sun came out properly!

Passed the quarry and around Cunswick with a few laps of the hilly field and a little out and back over Scout Scar and a few more laps with a small out and back on Cunswick before heading back. Found the last climb up over the golf course pretty tough and probably was running a bit quick but felt strong. Have been put on first leg for the C team this weekend so think I was channelling a little bit of frustration into the run but quite motivated to try and run faster then the other guys in A and B teams.

Round Cunswick and a few laps of the hilly field before heading back. Feeling quite slow and tired.

Golf course, Cunswick, up to hilly field and back with some strides in front of the house feeling pretty good. Achilles quite stiff/tight when waking up this morning. Eased off a little doing exercises to warm up and then went away completely after about 5 minutes of running.

Same as this morning but felt a bit more relaxed and smooth.
