Trail run (1hr 50’ easy) 1:53:10 [2] 25.61 km (4:25 / km) +625m 3:56 / km
shoes: Sonic RA pro

Golf course, Cunswick, looping zig zag around Scout Scar down to Helsington Church and back. Feeling good and moving well. Enjoying the downhill and maintaining solid effort/pace uphill. Many people out and about. Lots of friendly hellos today and there was even some warm sunshine!

shoes: Speedcross 5 Red

Quick catch up with James Kirkby who was out doing a massive litter pick. Just caught the magnificent red, pink, orange sunset over the golf course, Cunswick, two laps of the hilly field and back in the dark. Did some strides in front of the house which were moving very well if I do say so myself.

Golf course, Cunswick, hilly field, Cunswick and back in the dark left it a little late but was genuinely quite busy all day. Quite tired.

Cycling (Kendal to Sadgill ) 41:44 [2] +356m

15.7km on the mountain bike, forgot my lock so hid it behind a wall.
2 PM

Trail run (Mountains ) 1:47:57 [2] 19.53 km (5:32 / km) +1008m 4:24 / km
shoes: Speedcross 5 Red

Along and up Gatescarth Pass and up the back of Harter Fell, along to Thornthwaite Crag and up to High Steet to get back to the bike. So good to have such sunny weather after all the greyness and awesome to make good use of it. Views for days. Legs managing to handle the downhill thrashing, I think cycling is pretty much ideal conditioning for fell running. Bonking on the way back, lack of long run training but that’s easily fixed and I probably should have had a bigger breakfast. Had water in soft flasks in a pack.
4 PM

Cycling (Home) 49:29 [2] +260m

Pretty fatigued and hungry after the run and found the bike with a puncture on the back wheel. Cycled out of the valley on the flat tyre which was very very slow going. Until I got signal on my phone and called for a lift but carried on at met dad at Morrisons so did 13.68km on a flat tyre on a mountain bike after already being quiet exhausted. A lot of time outside in the sun!
