Christmas day run
Julian Herbert came with me on his bike
Was great fun but probably ran quicker than would have planned but felt good
Accidentally got in a race with a Spanish lad. Managed to turn round when we got to 5.20 min miling as I don't think he would have slowed!!

Progression run
Woke up, 2 pieces of white chocolate toblerone and an isotonic drink first few miles. Ran along the seafront. A bit tired. Always find out and backs mentally difficult before the turnaround
Had a gel at mile 8. Either the caffeine kicked in instantly or was just a mental lift from tunes
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
New Order - Blue Monday
Fleetwood Mac - Stand back
Ben Howard - The Wolves
Finished on an absolute guilty pleasure
With good tunes and sunrise along a nice flat walkway this progression didn't feel particularly gruelling and was very enjoyable.
Pleased with the work
A wise friend has told me to be cautious and I'm taking this onboard

Fasted easy run - felt a bit dehydrated

Went for a coffee with the parents after dinner and being the man I am enjoyed a Bailey's coffee. Not a recipe for getting off to sleep but this is a family Christmas holiday not just my running camp

Fasted easy run
Lovely early moring run up and down the boardwalk. Felt good
Nice to have some flat running this week

Breakfast is ridiculous. Keep having fried bread. Reckon I could eat myself fat if only I didn't enjoy running
4 PM

Run 56:02 [3] 7.43 mi (7:33 / mi) +12m 7:30 / mi
shoes: Adidas Sequence (Purple)

Sand session - barefoot
2 mile warm up
2 mile cool down

Ran up and down the beach. Fishermen in the way both directions but other than that great fun. Hard to get a rhythm as harder sand by the water often suddenly gets soft/wet
8 x 2 min/1 min r felt good
Ended efforts with a paddle in the sea and some daft punk, luckily it was dark and nobody saw me dicking about

Started my run with dad who does a steady jog then walk. Keeps a good 10 min/mile pace and really pleased with the 64 year old Stephen Fry lookalike.

Off into the hills to explore the town. Not much to see

Not the most inspiring terrain for a runner but lovely to get some sun
4 PM

Run 29:28 [1] 4.21 mi (7:00 / mi) +28m 6:51 / mi
ahr:152 max:177 shoes: Adidas Sequence (Purple)

Easy run up and down the Marina. Just putting the miles in and looking at the sea. Some ran on sand

Delivered a parcel for a friend and enjoyed a head torch run up through the parks and out to Dore

Probably should get a new head torch

Felt easy (written in hindsight but generally how I remember it)
