Hillwalking 4:00:00 [0] 5.0 mi (48:00 / mi)
slept:7.0

Hillwalking session with Snowdon Walks (guided walk)

The Llanberis Path

Duration: 4 hours

Felt much better today - normal service is resumed!

The guide took us just past half way due to strong to gale force winds! Blew a couple of people off their feet (including me!).

But it was a good 4 hours walking and it's miles in the legs.

REST DAY 1 [3]
(rest day)

Same as the day before. Plus have been busier this week with client work.

Not quite as tired and feeling more like my old self.

Rest up for Snowdon!

REST DAY 1 [3]
(rest day)

Tiredness and still feeling the after effects of the flu jab.

Busy with work so thought it was an opportune moment to take a rest day especially with my walk up Snowdon coming in a couple of days time.

Core and mobility work. New routine which involved lots of lunges, squats, press ups etc. Working in three directions, e.g. side lunges.

slept:6.0 shoes: Inov-8 Roclite

Regeneration Run

Duration: 45 minutes

Very steady pace - effortless.

Note: I had a flu jab at lunchtime which was fine but experienced a small amount of tiredness later on and during this run.

Regeneration Run

Felt tired - possibly the after effects of my flu jab (felt under the weather/sore arm).

Another specific endurance run done at my off-road ultra pace. Again, it felt comfortable and easy to sustain.

Run - Specific Endurance 1:51:07 [2] 9.02 mi (12:19 / mi) +206m 11:30 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Inov-8 X-Talons 212

Run Session: 1 hour 45 minutes Specific Endurance

I ran this at my ultra pace.

Terrain: Trails and fields

Note: I ran 1 hour 50 mins instead of 1:45 but there is a good (and funny) reason for this. Was going to stop my watch at 1:45 as I planned on walking through a farmer's field. Except it was full of cows and calves who decided to chase me! So I ended up running through this and down the lane back to my house.

So, ended up doing 1:50. I walked for about 5 mins to cool down.
6 PM

Nordic Walking 52:20 [1] 3.0 mi (17:27 / mi) +43m 16:43 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Saucony Triumph

Nice and easy 3-mile walk - using my Nordic poles.

I do Nordic Walking as well as running (and my other sports).

Easy pace around the lanes where I live.
