Easy Run on multi-terrain. Giving the Speedcross a good test!

Faster pace than my regeneration runs but still fairly easy.

No niggles.

Strength & Conditioning session

Seemed to have got stronger (weights). I also did running-specific bodyweight exercises, e.g. bear crawls, plyo step ups, mountain climbers etc with no niggles.

I am guessing this will be my last gym session until after the Chester Ultra?

Steady Run

This was a corker! Did 7 miles off-road around Bishopswood. A half mile section of road to get there but once in, I was like a big kid, climbing under/over logs, crawling through bushes and brambles and sliding my way down banks. Lovely mix of trails, grass and shingle.

Here's the other good bit - NO Twinges!!

I was on uneven surfaces but no pain in my ankle or anywhere else.

Chuffed with that.

My usual weights followed by running-specific exercises and mobility work which includes strengthening my ankles!

Easy run with my club - Newcastle (Staffs) AC

This was a 'keep my legs ticking over' run so I didn't go mad and blast up the hills as I normally do! I am mindful of the fact I am tapering so kept it nice and easy - not plodding though.

It included a warm up and cool down.

No problems with my ankle or peroneal nerve so think it has healed.
