Moderate Run 1:00:00 [3]
slept:10.0 shoes: Inov-8 X-Talons 212

Moderate Run in The Bishop's Wood.

Garmin wasn't working properly so have had to guess how many miles and pacing. I pushed it a bit more and felt strong which included the hills.

A good early evening run or around 5 to 5.5 miles approx.

Nordic Walking 48:20 [1] 3.11 mi (15:32 / mi) +15m 15:18 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Scott Kinabalu 2

Nordic Walking along the canal at Stone. A brisk pace and a nice 3 miles in the bag!

6 PM

Steady Run 1:00:00 [3]
slept:8.0 shoes: Scott Kinabalu 2

Garmin won't automatically upload so this is a manual entry.

I did a steady 5 mile run with my club - Newcastle (Staffs) AC. We ran off-road in Apedale Country Park on a hilly section (a couple of steep inclines) and stopped at intervals to make sure everyone was together.

Followed this by a cool down walk around the track back at the club.

5 miles approx in total.

60 minutes Easy 1:05:15 [0] 5.04 mi (12:56 / mi) +83m 12:19 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Inov-8 X-Talons 212

A 60 minute easy paced run (quicker than my regeneration run) in The Bishop's Wood. First time back on the trails after TR24.

This run started to speed up at times, averaging 8.30 to 9 min/miling. I felt like the old sharpness was returning (was light and springy) so am guessing last week's recovery has made a difference. I rested all that week - no training and suspect my body needed it!

The woods were very overgrown so had to walk through a few sections but still a good run.

I did a 1-mile cool down walk back home so 6 miles in total and no niggles!

Strength & Conditioning 1:15:00 [2]
slept:9.0

First strength & conditioning session since the Thunder Run.

I took this a bit easier than I would usually do as I am easing back into training after my 24-hour event. No niggles or anything untoward.

Hip and glute activation work, strength work, core etc.
6 PM

Regeneration 1:00:02 [1] 5.12 mi (11:43 / mi) +53m 11:21 / mi
slept:9.0 shoes: Scott Kinabalu 2

My first run since TR24.

Decided to ease back in with a 1-hour Regeneration Run. I ran on country lanes and footpaths at a steady pace. I'm obviously not at my sharpest but no niggles or underlying issues and generally felt fine.

5 miles.
