Chasewater Christmas Pudding 10K

My original plan was to tootle around as in take it easy but once I got to to the start my 'competitive little sod' instinct took over! Raced it from the start, pushing all the way round.

Chip time: 54:35 and 3rd in my age category (50-54). 116th out of 456 finishers.

Not bad....

Booked a personal training session with a strength & conditioning coach who is based in Macclesfield. He understands about running and runners including ultra mad fools like me. Devised running-specific exercises for me.

I also ended up swinging across the monkey bars on the rig and climbing up a rope. That was good fun!

Not bad for an ole bird ;)

Don't be fooled by the mileage as I ran on the treadmill in the gym and did 5.5. miles. My Forerunner 230 keeps showing me doing 6 and 7 minute miles.

I wish...

First run since Escape from Meriden and it didn't feel too bad. Will get more of an idea as regards my recovery when I run outside.
