Moderate Run 1:10:01 [3] 6.1 mi (11:28 / mi) +123m 10:48 / mi
slept:6.0 shoes: Scott Women's Enduro TRail

Not the best night's sleep which had some impact on this run. Felt tired and sluggish to start with but had an energy surge about half way and found I was flowing again.

The flaming 'Big M' again... The fluctuating hormones do mess with my sleep pattern but I still manage to average around 8 hours so manageable. Have to put up with it until I'm out on the other side. Thank god!!

slept:8.0 shoes: Inov-8 Parkclaw

15' Easy + 10 x 1' Tempo (1' Easy) + 15' Easy Run.

Did this along the canal at Stone which is ideal for speedwork. Easy pace to begin with then the tempo efforts which I aimed for sub-9 minute, preferably 8-8:30 min/miling. Anything less would be a bonus. I managed to hit 7:30 and even 7:00 minute/miling at one point!

15 minutes easy running then a light cool down.

No tiredness or soreness in the legs which is good considering I had done a strongwoman session the day before.
6 PM

Nordic Walking 50:47 [1] 3.0 mi (16:55 / mi) +58m 15:58 / mi
slept:8.0 shoes: Saucony Triumph Womens ISO 3

Easy paced Nordic Walking.

Strongwoman 1:00:00 [3]
slept:8.0

Decided to try a strongwoman class tonight at Capacity Functional Fitness in Eccleshall.

Think World's Strongest Man which is always on the telly at Christmas.

Warmed on the bikes, skier and rower before the main session which involved Farmers Walk, Kettlebells, Atlas Stones and tyre flips. Plenty of squats and lunges so ideal for a runner.

The session was well organised and structured to everyone's fitness levels. No surprise I was the oldest person there but the instructors thought I looked very fit and said I never gave up!

They do a twice weekly workout which includes lunges, squats etc and is geared more towards a runner so I'll look at doing that.

I've got forearms like Popeye at the moment..

slept:8.0 shoes: Saucony Triumph Womens ISO 3

20 minutes easy running then 4 x 15 second hill sprints with 2 minute recoveries followed by another 20 minutes easy running.

Went flat out on the sprints - couldn't speak after them and was holding onto a neighbours wall to recover!

The recoveries were jogging back down the bank and along the road.

90 mins Easy Trail Running 1:30:05 [3] 8.11 mi (11:06 / mi) +196m 10:20 / mi
slept:9.0 shoes: Salomon S-Lab Sense Ultra

Got a good night's sleep as in unbroken - hormones behaved themselves for a change!

It made a difference in today's run as I felt energised and was powering it up any hills.

Did this session in The Burnt Wood on trails, fire roads and across fields.
