REST DAY 1 [0]
slept:10.0 (rest day)

Rest day to catch up on sleep.

I am monitoring my left leg on a daily basis as my physio hasn't ruled out a femoral stress fracture. I'm hoping it's a quad strain.

Update as regards quad strain.

I saw the physio this morning who thinks it is a quad strain; however, he also suspects it could be the start of a femoral stress fracture so wants to monitor it on a daily basis. I'd noticed my quad had improved over the last week - took a week off - and there wasn't any problem when I performed a range of exercises this morning at the physio.

It hurts at the start of a run then disappears only to reappear at the end. I notice it each time I walk/run which is weight bearing.

Physio is going to give me a set of rehab exercises to do then re-introduce running. Advised me to go for a 30-35 easy run along the canal to see how things are.

Fine when I run but it is sore at the start and end. I'm hoping it isn't a stress fracture.

If there is no improvement or it worsens he will send me for an MRI scan.
