Note

From 15th July to 12th August away on trip-involved a lot of manual work which was very sweaty in the mid to high 30 temperatures (certainly ended up dehydrated a few times). Went diving which was surprisingly tiring. During the 4 weeks did 8 jungle treks (40 minutes each) and went on a couple of short runs at 6 in the morning! Was very ill at the beginning for 3 days and was very tired all the time in the last two weeks like everybody else.

Run 23:50 [5] 4.52 km (5:16 / km) +44m 5:02 / km

Breathing was very tight for at least half of run. Had to stop a few times for cars and a horse and also stopped at turn around point briefly.
Probably last run for at least 4 and a half weeks.

Had to walk to destination after being dropped off a fair way away-didn't exactly know where I had to go.

Orienteering Event (Local event) 59:39 [4] *** 6.46 km (9:14 / km) +226m 7:52 / km
spiked:23/26c

Very slippy climbs and descents (raining the whole time) ... had to go very slowly. Took the course steady ... ran past #12 but realised at the path junction just beyond. Got stuck in a thigh-deep marsh which took a while to get out of on the way to #18. Bit of a bad route to #23 but not too much time lost. Messed up #25 a bit as I couldn't see a fence on the map but it was right next to a crag so looked like one mark. #26 box wasn't working so lost a bit of time trying to find the punch.
