Ended up doing an extra 150m to #12 as I was in the re-entrant to the left of the control. Lost about a minute and half.
Was very very cautious running the course as on the way to #1 I fell down a deep gap in the rocks covered by grass (which didn't hurt at the time but does now). Left ankle really started hurting from 5 onwards when I landed on it in certain ways so walked a lot over the rough limestone terrain (as that was when it hurt the most). Fell over again on the way to #12 and landed pretty heavily so just glad to finish in mostly one piece.

Navigation was fine but had a pounding headache and felt light-headed so slowed down a lot. Got stuck behind people going over styles a lot as well.

Dynamic warm up then short sprint.

Short line course to have a look at area. Got confused with mapped and unmapped picnic benches.

Short course.

Club Training 2:34 [5] ** 0.54 km (4:45 / km) +18m 4:04 / km

Short course looking at quick route choices.

Club Training 3:31 [5] ** 0.66 km (5:20 / km) +15m 4:47 / km

Another short course. Starting to get the route choices right each leg now.

Last course-chasing faster person in front and closed in a bit as I followed the shorter route choices.
