Really not a great run so a much better result than expected. Messed up #1 to start with ... Ran off and didn't really think. Didn't go far enough down the track and went in. Saw a control behind me so went to it ... On the ride about 100m further up the stream. Then wandered a bit to #3 as I wasn't really paying attention so was lucky to spot it. Messed up #4 a lot as I ended up near the car park which was no way near the control and direction I should have been heading. Then to #6 thought I'd found a good route then realised the path I was going to take was a north line that didn't carry on to the bottom of the map. Lost a bit of time here as the bracken was in the way and it was much slower than going on the path parallel to the direction I was heading. Lost a bit of time to #7 too as I ran to the wrong ditch which also had a control. #10 was a mess and I lost about 2 minutes. Didn't take a bearing so that's probably why. The rest were fine but felt slow. Then almost fell over at the finish. So overall easily wasted at least 4 and a half minutes.
