Felt good for most of it. Like running through a swamp as the fields were so wet and muddy. Got home and within seconds it started hailing very heavily ... Timed it well :)

Orienteering Event (Local event) 58:45 [4] ** 8.72 km (6:44 / km) +160m 6:10 / km

Confused a bit to #1 as you had to go back through the car park from where you'd just come. Navigation was pretty good for all of them except maybe 16 and 17 where I was a bit too far right. Really muddy and slippy. Lucky I didn't pop my shoulder when I was holding onto a branch on a slope and my feet went and I landed completely on it. Really hurt. Mixture of urban and wet parkland. Felt good on the urban (it looked a bit rough). Found a long tunnel but it was so dark I couldn't see my hands. Think it was a good route but should have taken a torch. Fell over again in a patch of brambles. Dad started behind me and nearly caught me up but was very pleased to finish ahead of him. Then found out he only beat me by 7 seconds ...

With Dan ... talking the whole time so pretty surprised with the time. The hill at the end was horrible and my legs felt dead. So close to stopping but eventually made it to the top. Pretty tired and still getting over a cold.
