Run 1:02:49 [3] 11.31 km (5:33 / km) +150m 5:13 / km

Ran up the hill and then back along the way we came out. Quite warm and in the sun for a long time as the route has very little shade. Legs were tiring with the many ups and downs near the end.

Orienteering Event 1:02:54 [3] *** 5.79 km (10:52 / km) +315m 8:32 / km

Probably the most dangerous event I've done in a long time. Massive crags and a seriously steep slope that if you tripped on you'd be rolling down the 130m of climb to the bottom. Messed up #2 as I got confused after scaling a big crag and found a small path that I didn't see on the map. Then walked down the slope as my feet kept catching in brambles and came out way too far left. The others to #7 were fine but very slippy in places. Then the controls until #10 were back up the slope. Found them fine but on the way to #10 there was a steep scree slope that started sliding beneath me and the only way to stop myself falling back down it was to grab a big gorse bush and fight my way through it. The rest of the controls were fine. Some not so great route choices though.
