7 AM

Running (road) (Easy) 14:33 [1] 3.21 km (4:32 / km) +10m 4:28 / km

Shake-out before brekky. Nice morning in the burgh
12 PM

Running (mostly off-road) warm up/down 14:45 [2] 2.52 km (5:52 / km) +106m 4:51 / km

Up the first part of the course. Felt fairly decent and chill about things.
1 PM

Running (mostly off-road) race 1:07:23 [5] 12.54 km (5:23 / km) +948m 3:54 / km

Ben Lomond Hill Race
2 PM

Running (mostly off-road) warm up/down 15:48 [1] 2.81 km (5:37 / km) +68m 5:01 / km

Slow one along the flat shore path. Left ankle/achilles a bit sore after jarring it on final part of the descent.
6 PM

Running (mostly off-road) (Easy) 14:30 [1] 3.13 km (4:38 / km) +11m 4:33 / km

Shop via the Meadows after the drive back. Nice to shake the legs out again at the end of a lovely day.

Friday May 11 #

4 PM

Running (road+path) (Easy) 29:49 [2] 7.21 km (4:08 / km) +31m 4:03 / km

Quick one after the exam before going home. Felt decent and strides felt good too.

Thursday May 10 #

7 AM

Running (road+path) (Easy) 48:25 [2] 10.21 km (4:45 / km) +131m 4:27 / km

Craiglockart and Blackford loop in the sun. No particular stiffness in the legs, just a bit dead, especially near the end which is unusual.

Wednesday May 9 #

11 AM

Running (mostly off-road) warm up/down 19:52 [2] 4.51 km (4:24 / km) +22m 4:18 / km

Legs pretty decent. Had what felt like my first proper good sleep for a while last night.

Running (mostly off-road) hills 44:58 [4] 8.58 km (5:14 / km) +502m 4:03 / km

5x5' (steady down)

On the Crags on a near bang-on 5min route. A bit steeper than planned, but this was just for the first 1/4 - 1/3 - no where else to get better really for a 5min climb.

Felt decent for most the session, and was fairly consistent. Strong headwind got stronger as the session went on which was good to keep the effort up.
12 PM

Running (mostly off-road) warm up/down 20:43 [2] 4.59 km (4:31 / km) +51m 4:16 / km

Back with some flat strides on the Meadows, and felt decent at speed for once.

Tuesday May 8 #

8 AM

Running (road+path) (Easy) 35:30 [2] 7.59 km (4:41 / km) +83m 4:26 / km

Getting the last of the sun for a bit with an easy one up Craiglockhart. Some strides helped perk the legs up a bit.

Monday May 7 #

5 PM

Running (mostly off-road) (Easy) 1:09:39 [2] 14.05 km (4:57 / km) +265m 4:32 / km

Easy with Waldie, Jill and Craig around Braids and Mortonhall on another great day. A bit longer than wanted, and felt this towards the end when I started to tire even with easy pace. No pains or stiffness though in the legs after yesterday.

Sunday May 6 #

8 AM

Running (mostly off-road) (Easy) 2:16:51 [2] 24.28 km (5:38 / km) +1427m 4:21 / km
ahr:154 max:184

Out in the Pentlands on a very nice sunny morning. Chill pace but felt decent on climbs, except up the steep side of Castlelaw which was tough. Good to get the long climbs in though.
