8 AM

Running (road) warm up/down 21:09 [2] 4.86 km (4:21 / km) +30m 4:13 / km

Felt good, followed by drills and strides.
9 AM

Running (mostly off-road) intervals 30:00 [4] 8.25 km (3:38 / km) +6m 3:37 / km

4x2'(1' jog), 6x1'(1'), 6x30"(30")

Decent session around the Meadows. 2' felt ok, 1' felt better, 30" feeling a bit heavier again - takes me a while to get into any speed so the 1' and 30" felt more 'awkward'. Hamstrings got a bit tight again but not as bad as the last interval session.
10 AM

Running (mostly off-road) warm up/down 20:49 [2] 4.71 km (4:25 / km) +1m 4:25 / km

Legs pretty dead to start with but then felt better as I did more.

Running (mostly off-road) (Easy) 1:00:56 [2] 12.11 km (5:02 / km) +340m 4:25 / km

A few climbs around AS early doors. Humid morning, last nights storm didn't have much affect on the solid ground. Again, just feeling dead on the climbs especially. Strides helped things feel better though.

Running (road+path) (Easy) 1:07:50 [2] 13.83 km (4:54 / km) +263m 4:29 / km

Usual-ish route - Craiglockhart, Blackford, bit of Braids (found a nice path I hadn't done before). Felt ok, just heavy legged

Running (road+path) warm up/down 20:07 [2] 4.49 km (4:29 / km) +16m 4:24 / km

Running (mostly off-road) hills 40:24 [4] 7.78 km (5:12 / km) +515m 3:54 / km

5x5' (steady down)

Felt ok for most of the session. A bit more consistent rep time wise compared to previous identical sessions. Quads felt pretty tired at the start of the 4th rep, but came back a bit on the final one. Just felt a bit body tired in general, combination of a bit less sleep and more work recently, on feet all day.
7 AM

Running (road+path) warm up/down 19:15 [2] 4.17 km (4:37 / km) +25m 4:29 / km

6 PM

Running (mostly off-road) (Easy) 22:25 [2] 5.28 km (4:15 / km) +7m 4:13 / km

Couple laps of the Meadows - nice and hot evening. Felt pretty good, calves just a bit tight

Running (mostly off-road) (Easy) 1:00:08 [2] 13.26 km (4:32 / km) +130m 4:19 / km

Early one so I could get a lift back to Edi before work. Felt decent surprisingly. Did some strides towards the end which were good.

Running (mostly off-road) (Easy) 29:35 [1] 5.95 km (4:59 / km) +48m 4:47 / km

Very chill one back home. Legs stiff to start with, but no particular pains (except bruised shin on descents) - eased off fairly well. Cut the run a bit short.

Running (mostly off-road) (Easy) 2:51:36 [2] 29.54 km (5:49 / km) +1758m 4:29 / km

Long one in the Pentlands - a bit of a bigger version of the Skyline.

Was sunny and clear when I caught the bus but by the time I got up onto the hills the cloud was down, but still pretty warm so quite good conditions (especially underfoot, driest I've known it). Tested out mid-run fuel for the first time - one Torq gel just over an hour in (on the turn to start heading back towards Hillend), then another one (ft. caffeine) c.2hr in and about 45' before finishing. They went down smoothly (took some water with each too), but didn't really feel a significant change from them - I felt fairly consistent and had no dips in energy throughout the whole run. So, either the gels worked and I timed it right before any dip in energy, or they just added fuel to an a body that, on the day, would have been fine without their addition.

Tried to some very enthusiastic gravel descending which led to a gashed shin, bum and elbow (some funny looks in my direction stepping on the bus afterwards). Hamstrings a bit dodgy on the descents after yesterday's race, so just took them pretty easy. Enjoyed the run a lot!
